Cognitive Task Analysis has traditionally been used in domains such as education, health care, and the defense industry. Its application to questions of marketing and market research is relatively new, and Cognitivity researchers were among the first in the world to develop this usage.

In our approach, the decision is the fundamental unit of analysis. That is, we examine consumer behavior in such a way as to identify the decisions that are critical for your business, and then understand how they are made, by real customers, in real environments, using their real beliefs and cognition.
